My dream is to travel

Every moment of training in army feels like torture when i start to think that people at home are having a comfortable life watching tv, or heading out to party.

Navigation is one of the useful skills i learned as well as basic jungle survival skills.



Last week during my field camp in Choa chu kang forest, i felt so demoralised having to march into a forest with a deep canopy and thick vegetation, while being able to see the bright view of the HDB flats shadowed with tall trees. I think of home, while i'm at the jungle and the feeling just sucks.

Then i'll start to think that why do i have to go through all this shit while people are having a comfortable life.

I couldn't understand the answer until i downloaded GoogleEarth software and start to see some nice places in Japan. And oh yea, i definitely wanna travel.



And the first step to it is to learn how to survive in the jungle and to navigate using maps and compass. It's just like going from places to places in another country but with my well equipped skills from army, I definitely have a better understanding of how to travel in future.



Firstly have to take the cost to travel in consideration. A class 2 motobike, WOSH!! which is cheaper than a car, which is able to carry a heavy load of camping equipment for outdoors sleeping. Able to save effectively overseas is a goal to achieve a longer duration of the trip. My equipment includes a map of the area, compass, lightweight laptop, lightweight camping equipment, food rations, digital camera or DSLR depending on how rich i can get in 30-37 years old.
