The Little Things

Recently, i get to read a very interesting psychology book called "The Tipping Point". The interesting wonders of how small things can cause big changes and great influences. The tipping point shows us how trends are started the the powerful marketing using the word of mouth.

The first type of person i am most interested are Connectors. They are the people that connects people together and they are extremely sociable with the mass amounts of contacts they keep. They don't mind having lots of friends, though the ties aren't very strong.

Surveys were made on how people look for jobs through their friends, buddies and found out that most of the people find their jobs through friends which have weak ties. People that they are not close to.

This shows the power of weak ties, though the people may not see the things you do within your circle, and thus are able to find a certain way to connect with one another. Weak ties, seemed like a very small issue can however be a very useful way to find opportunities.
